Arlington, VA – This November, the Nakupuna Foundation Family of Companies held our Strategic Offsite meeting in Denver, Colorado, where our senior leadership set goals and objectives for the next three years. Each year, our Strategic Offsite begins with an outreach event in the community where the offsite is located. This year, we partnered with Wish for Wheels, an organization that provides bicycles for elementary students in low-income communities. Our leadership team went to Schmitt Elementary School in Denver to provide bikes to the members of the second-grade class.
Nakupuna senior leadership teamed up to assemble and test the bikes. They assembled a total of forty-five bikes for the members of the second-grade class and then they fitted each child with a bike and helmet.
“Seeing the look on the kids’ faces as they picked out their bike was incredibly rewarding,” said Jason Greenawalt, Vice President of Na Aliʻi. “We even taught some students how to ride a bike for the first time. It was a great experience. Kicking off our Strategic Offsite with this amazing event helped to put what we do into perspective. Thanks to all our employees, whose hard work every day makes it possible for us to give back to our communities in such a special, impactful way.”
